The Hudson River Ground Stabilization (HRGS), Project is one of the early-work packages associated with the Gateway Program, delivering critical rail infrastructure between Newark, New Jersey and Manhattan, New York, along Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor.

The HRGS Project involves the in-situ stabilization of a 1,200’ length of Hudson River bottom to facilitate tunnel installation operations utilizing a tunnel boring machine (under separate contract).

In pursuit of the HRGS Project Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting Co., LLC and Treviicos Corporation have formed the Cashman-Treviicos Joint Venture (“CTJV”) to provide a comprehensive design/build proposal, leveraging our respective experience and leadership in marine construction, logistics and ground stabilization works, with Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. (d/b/a B&B Engineers and Geologists of New York, P.C., an Affiliate of Geosyntec Consultants, Inc.) providing design and engineering support exclusive to the CTJV Team as a dedicated Designer.

The CTJV is actively pursuing subcontractors and suppliers in the region that can provide the services outlined below.

The CTJV Teaming Companies

The Cashman Family of Companies has been active in the marine construction and dredging marketplace on the Eastern Seaboard of the US since inception in the early 1990’s. Upon the completion of the Big Dig Project in Boston, a dedicated entity, Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting Co., LLC was established to specifically target marine and dredging works. Since that time, Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting has grown into one of the largest dredging & marine contracting companies on the Eastern Seaboard of the US performing work for clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Navy, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, Orsted, NAVFAC, US EPA, and the City of New York.

TREVIICOS, the North American subsidiary of Trevi Group, was set up in 1997 when the TREVI Group’s underground Engineering and Tunneling division acquired ICOS, Boston, a company with a 40-year history of success and innovation in the USA. As a ground engineering company, TREVIICOS provides advanced applications, a broad range of techniques, and the highest levels of expertise to guarantee safety, quality, and on-time project delivery for specialty foundations, soil consolidation and geotechnical works for all kinds of infrastructure.

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., d/b/a B&B Engineers and Geologists of New York, P.C. is a specialized engineering and consulting firm, ranked No. 40 in the 2023 ENR Top 500 Design Firms list, that addresses new ventures and complex problems involving civil infrastructure, the environment, natural resources, and resiliency. Our nationally recognized experts and specialists in geotechnical, geostructural, structural, and marine engineering services evaluate and improve the design and construction of structures including those in marine tunneling and infrastructure areas.
